I woke up this morning to no internet. The cable company sent a man this afternoon, though, and I am back up and running once again. It is late in the afternoon and I must dash out the door in a minute to meet the misfits on the Boulevard for some Christmas beverages. Then it is off to my mother's house to do the Eve. She has come to like opening presents tonight so that she can sleep in the morning. Dinner with her tomorrow.
Tomorrow night is the full moon, the first Christmas full moon in most people's lifetime. Not mine, of course, but it is for Ili. The last one was in the 1970s. She is excited and has been baking rum cakes all day while I try to finish moving out of the studio. I will be completely out within days. It will be a relief to have that done.
I have more stories to tell but no time to do it now. Ili and I are both tired and wish to do nothing but lie on the couch and watch movies.
It has been, though, an excellent holiday season.
And so I wish you all a happy and peaceful Merry Christmas. And, of course, one of my favorite Christmas songs.
