Flower Moon

Swirly lens.  I've been trying to get a satisfying picture of this bench for months.  This will do.

Some days, it is better not to write.  Today is one of those days.

I'll just report one thing.  Tomorrow is the Full Flower Moon.  This is where my astrologer friend (link) and I get into trouble.  It rises full at 6:45 a.m.  The best time to see it, then, is tonight.  I am going by the Farmer's Almanac.  Here is a timetable for the best times to do things this month.

Trust the Almanac.  May the Force Be With You.

  1. We will see nothing tonight - the phone beeped very early this morning stating that there is a small craft advisory until 10AM tomorrow. I guess I won't take the sailboat out. :). We will have heavy rains and wind throughout the evening.

I took a drive up to Chatham today. And dreamed while awake - tasting a lobster roll sandwich with a big cold beer. And friends. I might to get some lobster from the fishmonger. But it won't exactly be the same. Sigh.

Beautiful Egret/Heron. They move like mechanical creatures. We don't get them walking around our yards like you guys do. I'm always first shocked when visiting my brother - I walk their dogs when I'm there because they are bad dog walkers - and when I come up to a big bird around the neighborhood - it's a little strange. Our herons are not so domesticated.

We have turkeys - and they can be v. fresh.

Send pictures of the Flower Moon if you get them. I'm a bit down I won't see it. But you know what? I got a big jar of local honey today. I'm happy about that. You know what I love? Walnuts and goat cheese drizzled in honey.

    Okies. x

    1. You missed a very pretty moon, but it will be equally full tonight as it's actual time was at six this morning. Either one will do.
