The Darkest Day of the Year

It is the Winter Solstice, the least daylight we in the Northern Hemisphere will see in a twenty-four hour period all year.  I felt the need for that lugubrious explanation, for saying it is "the shortest day of the year" isn't quite true, is it?  I mean. . . the day is still 24 hours.  I don't want to come off as an oaf.

I think I have been given a Golden Trump Bible for Christmas by a friend.  That is the hint I have received, anyway.  I guess I'll need a "Make America Pray Again" hat.  Should serve me well on my trips across rural America.

The photo above was published in The Guardian, a sort of US paper, though it is only online.  But it is pretty reliable, if, maybe, a little left leaning which is always OK with me.  I'm pretty sure, though, that they wouldn't have included this photo if a whole titty was showing.  Still. . . I would like to have taken the photo because of the soft focus blur.  Maybe I should stick with and go no further than an image like this.  I can do it.

But what is the point?  Photography has pretty much become a crime if it isn't surveillance by the government.  You can't take photos anymore without getting yelled at.  But ask C.C. about this.  He doesn't even take photographs and he is being attacked by the very people he has helped put into powerful positions.  I'm being vague, but I'm just saying. . . how in the fuck did we get the Musk/Trump presidency?  Is it the shrinking of the American _________ a) mind b) spirit c) income d) all of the above?

It is a dangerous time to be _______________ a) a Bohemian b) a liberal c) an artist d) an intellectual e) all of the above.

Don't forget, I'm the one who told you with the coming of Trump to buy Bitcoin.  You didn't listen to me, did you?  You'll be sorry.  It is the coin of the realm for terrorists and drug dealers.  And now it is an investment for everyone.

Cold morning.  I had thought to make a trip to Grit City today to do a little Christmas shopping for ma.  Just little things.  They have fun shops up there unlike the Boulevard which has turned into a Disneyland of restaurants and bars.  You really can't shop for anything there anymore, not since GPS went into phones.  But the cold holds me in place.  Will I go?  That is the question I am asking myself.  I mean. . . I'm content not to.

Not much of a post.  Selavy.  Maybe I have some music to enrich your day.
