More holiday on the Boulevard. Just saying. It is definitely a winter refuge. Summers? You need the mountains. But you can't have everything unless you live in San Diego. Tijuana has the same weather, but. . . you know. Somehow shit got fucked up there. They tell kids attending high school in San Diego, "enjoy this because you won't be able to afford it when you grow up."
So I've been told.
But that is becoming true almost everywhere now. Probably in your own hometown.
I'm trying to find something to write about other than my own life, but all I have other than that is the newspaper and A.I. So. . . I read in the newspaper that A.I. is becoming one of the most popular majors in college. Why would you get a degree in "The Meaning of Life," i.e. any liberal arts major, when there is none?
The only reason I can think of is that A.I. is built around all the things the liberal arts teach. There is little "intelligence" otherwise. It is like the thing I saw on IG the other day about Arts and Crafts (link).
O.K. It has taken me half an hour trying to figure out how to link that, and I still am not sure I did. The only place I can find it is on Reddit, and I don't use Reddit and don't know wtf about it. So. . . . I hope you get to see the clip.
I don't know how it works where you live, but here, we look forward to autumn. It is beautiful. But when it arrives, it brings with it a whole slew of illnesses. Everyone gets something. . . or several things. Maybe we just like sitting around feeling lousy. It is nice, I guess, if you have someone bringing you hot cocoa while you watch Christmas specials on t.v. Right now, it seems, everyone has a cold or a flu or Covid or a stomach virus.
"Let's all go shopping with the crowd, and then we can eat at one of the popular restaurants."
I've been watching Anthony Bourdain reruns, and he admits he is sick a lot. Maybe that is simply the human condition. Life isn't as it seems on social media.
O.K. I have nothing. I felt good for a minute yesterday, and when I was making breakfast for mother, a song popped into my head. I have no idea why. Totally random. I asked Alexa to play it, then to play it again, and I danced around the kitchen while I cooked.
That was BY FAR the best part of my day.
