Is This the Right Medicine?

This is what I want.  Which part?  The camera, the freedom to make images.  This video is just a romantic lie, in part, but it is the truth, too.  If you don't believe in romantic truths, you needn't watch the video.  If you think that Leicas are stupid cameras that are for BoBos, you may be right, and you shouldn't watch this video.  But if you ever buy silly things, things you don't need, things that will just make you feel a certain way. . . if you ever just want some magic in your life no matter how stupid your desire seems to someone else. . . you might like the video.  Just click on the Leica M-D link.

I am Jonesing for this camera.  It would be stupid to buy.  It is a stupid idea.

Sometimes you just have to do the wrong thing.

I told you that my life has been under some bad ju-ju lately.  I didn't tell you that it has gotten worse.  It has.  Don't be surprised if I turn up on your couch for a few days this summer.  I need some respite. I get scared at night again and wake with the heebie-jeebies.  I am conscious of all the wrong things.

So. . . maybe a camera would change my life.  Undoubtably it would, but in which direction?  Oh, that one can never predict.

  1. "...doing something that makes people temporarily uncomfortable." All art should do that I think.

I understand your thing with the cameras. I am that way about old books. Just paid an extra shipping fee of over $40. to get a book 22" tall shipped from Germany. Half of the plates are missing but the ones that are present--oh my!!

  2. He was the photographer that I felt I had most in common.

  3. No silly ... make your reservations for Porto..
